Dr. You obtained his M.D. in China, Ph.D. (Biochemistry) in Canada, and completed his post-doctoral at the University of Pennsylvania, USA.
Dr. You possesses 16 years of experience in research and development in molecular diagnostics and biochip areas, including 12 years in leading positions. His industrial experiences include companies such as Becton Dickinson and Co., Motorola BioChip systems, and Xeotron Corporation, all in the USA. Dr. You is the author/coauthor of 12 peer reviewed scientific journal articles. He is also the inventor/co-inventor of 11 US granted patents, and 33 granted patents in other countries. Since the creation of Ustar Biotechnologies, Dr. You and the company have applied for 9 patents to the Chinese IP office (4 granted).  These patents were also applied to PCT, US, European Union, and Japan (granted).
Dr. You founded Ustar Biotechnologies (China) in 2005, and has been leading the company since then. Currently, the company is focused on simple, rapid, affordable and instrument-free nucleic acid tests for infectious diseases in resource-limited settings.

Hu, Michael Ph.D 
VP & CTO

Dr. Hu is a co-founder of Ustar Biotechnologies (China) and obtained his M.D. in China, Ph.D. (Biochemistry) in the USA, and completed a post-doctoralat the University of Pennsylvania, USA.
Dr. Hu possesses 22 years of experience in research and development in molecular biology and bioinformatics areas. He has held many positions in academia and industry at numerous institutions and companies including the University of Pennsylvania, Cols Corporation, and Cooper Health System.  Dr. Hu is the author/coauthor of 30 peer reviewed scientific journal articles. He is also the inventor/co-inventor of 16 patents (4 granted) since the creation of Ustar Biotechnologies. These patents were also applied to PCT, US, European Union, and Japan (granted).

Dale Shen, Di B.M. MBA
Marketing Director

Dale obtained a Bachelor degree in Medicine from Shanghai Second Medical University and an MBA from the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).  He has worked for fifteen years in clinical services, sales and marketing for several multinational companies including MSD, Sanofi and Genelabs Diagnostics. His experiences include sales management, prescription drugs & IVD product marketing, channel & distribution management, logistics, IVD product registration in SFDA etc.  Dale joined Ustar Biotechnologies as Marketing Director in November 2010.
