Gates Foundation sent the second phase fund (about US $ 1.74 million) to Ustar Biotechnologies (Hangzhou) Ltd
Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation decided to provide free research funding and investments totaling $ 11.27 million for research and development of second-generation detection products (CPA automated nucleic acid diagnostic reagents and analyzers) to Ustar Biotechnologies in November 2014. The first phase fund was put in place in November 2014.
After unremitting efforts of R&D and other teams, the research and development of the second-generation products "CPA automated nucleic acid diagnostic reagents and analyzers” is progressing well. The mid-term project review was approved by the Gates Foundation on August 4, 2016. Ustar received the second phase research fund (about US $ 1.74 million) from Gates Foundation on September 15, 2016.
